DSP News Release:  Troopers Investigate Citizens Bank Robbery 

Location:

·         Citizens Bank, 128 Lantana Drive, Lantana Square Shopping Center, Hockessin, DE

Date of Occurrence:

·         Friday, September 2, 2011 at 1:54 p.m.

Victim:

·         Unidentified female bank employee

Suspect:

·         White Male, 20-30 years of age, 5’06”-5’09” tall, average build.  Last seen wearing white t-shirt, khaki pants, and black shoes.

Hockessin-Delaware State Police Robbery detectives are investigating the robbery of the Citizens Bank located inside the Acme Market at Lantana Square Shopping Center that occurred early this afternoon.

The incident occurred at approximately 1:54 p.m. this afternoon as a male suspect entered the Acme Market and proceeded to the Citizens Bank Branch located inside.  The suspect approached the bank teller and presented a demand note for money.  The victim complied and turned over an undisclosed amount of United State Currency to the suspect.  The suspect fled on foot with the cash in an unknown direction.  There were no injuries as a result of this incident.
