DSP News Release: Detectives Probe Pharmacy Robbery
Location: Stanton Pharmacy, 2006 W. Newport Pike, Wilmington, DE
Date of Occurrence: Thursday, September 01, 2011 at 10:20 a.m.
Suspects:
-Suspect #1: White male, 18-25 years of age, 6’00”-6’02” 160-180 lbs. He was last seen wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt, light colored sweatpants, dark gloves, dark shoes, and sunglasses.
-Suspect #2: Black male, 18-25 years of age, 6’00”-6’02” tall, 160-180 lbs. He was last seen wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt, dark pants, and light colored gloves. He was also armed with a handgun.
-Suspect #3: Unknown male, 18-25 years of age, 5’07”-5’09” tall, 150-160 lbs. He was last seen wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, white sneakers, and a mask.
-Suspect #4: Black male, 18-25 years of age, 6’00”-6’02” tall, 160-180 lbs. He was last seen wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt, dark pants, and black and white gloves. He was also armed with a silver handgun.
Victims:
-65 year old male employee -81 year old female employee -65 year old female customer
Resume: Stanton- Delaware State Police detectives are currently investigating the late morning robbery of a Stanton area pharmacy that occurred this morning.
The incident happened at approximately 10:15 a.m. this morning as four male suspects entered the Stanton Pharmacy located in the 2000 block of W. Newport Pike, Stanton. Two of the suspects responded to the rear of the pharmacy where one of them displayed a weapon and held it to the 65 year old pharmacist. As this was occurring, the second suspect jumped the pharmacy counter and proceeded to remove a large amount of narcotics from a safe.
A third suspect also displayed a weapon and confronted a female employee who was working behind the sales counter in the front of the store. The suspect demanded and received an undisclosed amount of cash from the register. The fourth suspect acted as a lookout as the robbery was occurring.
All four suspects then left the store and were last seen fleeing the parking lot in a dark colored Honda. A short time later, a vehicle matching the description of the suspect vehicle was located in a wooded area in the 800 block of Kiamensi Road. The vehicle, which had been reported stolen on August 31, 2011, had been set on fire. A search of the area for the suspects was conducted; however, they were not located.
Detectives are asking anyone who may have any information in reference to this incident to contact the robbery unit at Troop 2 at 302-834-2630 ext. 6. DSP News Release: Troopers Search for Robbery Suspects
Location: Stanton Pharmacy, 2006 W. Newport Pike, Wilmington, DE

Suspects:
-Black male, 200-250 lbs. Armed with a handgun. -Two white males with thin builds and brown hair. -Hispanic male last seen wearing a blue New York Yankees baseball cap.
Resume: Stanton- The Delaware State Police are currently searching for four male subjects who committed the armed robbery of the Stanton Pharmacy located in the 2000 block of W. Newport Pike, Wilmington, earlier this morning.
Preliminary information is that three subjects entered the business at approximately 10:20 a.m. this morning and robbed the store. The subjects then left the store and were last seen fleeing in a dark blue vehicle, possibly a Honda. A short time later a dark blue Honda was found on fire in a wooded area off of Kiamensi Road. Troopers are investigating whether or not this may be the suspect vehicle.
Troopers are asking anyone who may see any suspicious activity in the area to call the 9-1-1 call center immediately.
This robbery is still under investigation. More details will be released at a later time.
