DSP News Release: Troopers Search for Robbery Suspects

Location: Stanton Pharmacy, 2006 W. Newport Pike, Wilmington, DE

Date of Occurrence:  Thursday, September 01, 2011 at 10:20 a.m.

Suspects:    

-Black male, 200-250 lbs. Armed with a handgun.

-Two white males with thin builds and brown hair.

-Hispanic male last seen wearing a blue New York Yankees baseball cap.

Resume: 

Stanton- The Delaware State Police are currently searching for four male subjects who committed the armed robbery of the Stanton Pharmacy located in the 2000 block of W. Newport Pike, Wilmington, earlier this morning.

Preliminary information is that three subjects entered the business at approximately 10:20 a.m. this morning and robbed the store. The subjects then left the store and were last seen fleeing in a dark blue vehicle, possibly a Honda. A short time later a dark blue Honda was found on fire in a wooded area off of Kiamensi Road. Troopers are investigating whether or not this may be the suspect vehicle.

Troopers are asking anyone who may see any suspicious activity in the area to call the 9-1-1 call center immediately.

This robbery is still under investigation. More details will be released at a later time.
