DSP News Release: Troopers Investigate BP Gas Station Robbery, New Castle 

 

Location:

·         BP Gas Station, 601 North Dupont Highway, New Castle, DE

 

Date of Occurrence:  

·         Wednesday, October 26, 2011 at 8:20 p.m.

 

Victim:

·         45 year old male employee

 

Suspect:

·         White male, 25-30 years of age, 5’10” tall, average build.  Last seen wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt with zipper and blue jeans.

·         Surveillance photo’s not available at this time

 

Resume:

New Castle-Troopers are investigating the robbery of the BP Gas Station that occurred last night on North Dupont Highway, New Castle.

 

The incident occurred at approximately 8:20 p.m. as a male suspect entered the business and approached the 45 year old clerk, located at the sales counter.  The suspect placed his hand under his sweatshirt, implied that he had a weapon and demanded money.  The clerk complied and turned over an undisclosed amount of cash.  The suspect fled the business on foot towards Harrison Avenue.
