PEDESTRIAN ROBBERY, CHRISTIANA ROAD, NEW CASTLE


DSP News Release: Pedestrian Robbery, Christiana Road, New Castle

 

Location:

·         Christiana Road (RT 273) and Rambleton Drive, New Castle, DE

 

Date of Occurrence:

·         Wednesday, October 26, 2011 at 9:50 p.m.

 

Victim:

·         26 year old male from New Castle

 

Suspect:

·         Black male, 20-25 years of age, 6’0”-6’02” tall, 190-200 lbs, large build. Last seen wearing black hooded sweatshirt, black pants, and black shoes.  Suspect was armed with unknown type handgun.

 

Resume:

New Castle-Troopers are investigating the armed robbery of a 26 year old man last evening as he walked on Christiana Road in New Castle.

 

The incident occurred at approximately 9:50 p.m. last evening as the victim was walking on the sidewalk of Christiana Road (RT 273) just east of the Liberty Knoll Apartments.  The victim was approached from behind by a male suspect.  As the victim turned around, the suspect pointed a handgun at him and demanded money.  The victim complied and turned over an undisclosed amount of cash.  The suspect fled on foot down Rambleton Drive.  The victim was not injured as a result of this incident.
