The crash happened as Keith I. Baldwin, 25, of Laurel, DE was operating a 1996 Chevrolet Blazer and was traveling southbound on Gordy Road. For an unknown reason, the Blazer’s left side tires left the east edge of Gordy Road. Baldwin, who was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, was ejected from his vehicle.

Keith Baldwin was removed from the scene by Emergency Medical Services and transported to the Peninsula Regional Medical Center where he was pronounced dead at approximately 1:40 a.m. this morning. His body was turned over to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner where an autopsy will be performed to determine the exact cause of death.

Gordy Road was closed for approximately three hours as the crash was investigated and cleared.  This crash remains under investigation at this time.
