DSP News Release:  Three Injured in Two Vehicle Crash

Location: Southbound Coastal Highway (SR 1) at Beach Highway (SR 16), Milton, DE

Date and Time of Occurrence:  Tuesday, October 25, 2011 at 11:40 a.m.

Milton, DE- The Delaware State Police investigated a two vehicle crash involving an overturned truck that occurred late this morning in Milton, DE.

The collision happened at approximately 11:40 a.m. as Harvey Hudson was operating a 2011 Isuzu truck and was traveling southbound on SR 1 approaching the intersection of SR 16 in Milton, DE. Hudson failed to stop at a red light and entered the intersection where he struck the passenger side of a 2011 Ford pick up truck which was being operated by Robert Linthicum and which was traveling westbound on Beach Highway through the intersection of SR 1. After the impact, Hudson’s vehicle continued traveling in a southwest direction where it then struck a street sign and then overturned onto its side before coming to rest.

Harvey Hudson and Robert Linthicum were both removed from the scene by EMS and transported to the Beebe Memorial Hospital where they were treated for non life threatening injuries. A passenger in Robert Linthicum’s vehicle, Jere L. Stephano, 61, of Milton, DE was removed from the scene by Delaware State Police helicopter to the Beebe Memorial Hospital where she was treated for non life threatening injuries.

Harvey Hudson was cited by Troopers with failing to stop at a red light.

DSP News Release:  Troopers on Scene of Personal Injury Crash

Location: Coastal Highway and Broadkill Road, Milton, DE

Date and Time of Occurrence:  Tuesday, October 25, 2011 at 11:45 a.m.

Resume:   

Milton, DE- The Delaware State Police are currently investigating a personal injury motor vehicle crash involving an overturned dump truck that occurred late this morning in Milton, DE.

The crash has eastbound Broadkill Road in the area of Coastal Highway closed at this time. Commuters are asked to use alternate means of travel around the area.

More information will be released after it is received.
