TROOPERS INVESTIGATE TWO BANK ROBBERIES


DSP News Release: Troopers Investigate Two Bank Robberies 

 

Locations:

·         Wells Fargo Bank, 2024 Naamans Road (Foulk & Naamans Branch), Wilmington, DE

·         WSFS Bank, 4401 Concord Pike (Concord Square), Wilmington, DE

 

Date of Occurrence:

·         Monday, October 24, 2011 at 2:43 p.m. (Wells Fargo)

·         Monday, October 24, 2011 at 2:55 p.m. (WSFS)

 

Victim:

  • 30 year old male employee
  • 27 year old male employee

 

Suspect:

·         White male, 25-35 years of age, 5’09”-6’01”, 150-170 lbs, average build. Last seen wearing an army green jacket, blue jeans, dark ski cap, and a long fake beard covering his face.

Resume:

North Wilmington-Delaware State Police Robbery Detectives are investigating the robbery of two North Wilmington banks by the same suspect, which occurred this afternoon.

 

The first incident occurred at approximately 2:43 p.m. this afternoon as a male suspect entered the Wells Fargo Bank located on Naamans Road.  The suspect approached the bank teller and presented a demand note for money.  The teller did not comply with the demand and the suspect fled the bank empty handed on foot towards Naamans Road.

 

The second incident occurred at approximately 2:55 p.m. as the same suspect entered the WSFS Bank located in the Concord Square Shopping Center.  The suspect approached the teller and presented a demand note for money.  The teller complied and turned over an undisclosed amount of cash to the suspect.  The suspect fled the bank on foot towards the rear of the shopping center.  There were no injuries as a result in either incident.
