DSP News Release: Troopers Investigate Dover Robbery

Victim:

·         23 year old female from Dover, DE

Suspect(s):

·         White male, 20-30 years of age, 5’06”-5’10” tall, 160-180 lbs, average build. Last seen wearing brown-green jacket, blue jeans, black knit hat, and sunglasses. Suspect armed with unknown type handgun.

·         White male, 20-30 years of age, 5’06”-5-10” tall, 160-180 lbs, average build. Last seen wearing light colored blue jeans, brown-green jacket, black knit hat, and sunglasses.  Suspect armed with unknown type handgun.

·         Suspect vehicle described as a red Jeep (no further description)

Dover-Delaware State Troopers are investigating the armed robbery of a woman that occurred in the parking lot of Tia’s Grocery Store in Dover yesterday morning.

The incident occurred on Friday, October 21, 2011 at approximately 10:00 a.m. as the 23 year old female was walking through the parking lot on her way to the grocery store.  The victim was approached by the two suspects that exited a vehicle described as a red Jeep.  Both suspects displayed handguns and demanded cash and property.  The victim complied and turned over an undisclosed amount of cash and belongings to the suspects.  The suspects fled in the vehicle, last seen US13 southbound.  There were no injuries as a result of this incident.
