DSP News Release: Troopers Investigate Long Neck Robbery/Assault
Location: Kings Lane, Enchanted Acres Mobile Home Park, Long Neck, DE
Date of Occurrence: Thursday, October 13, 2011 at 10:00 p.m.
Victim:
-27 year old Lewes, DE man
Suspects:
-Suspect #1: Black male, 5’10”- 5’11” tall, 150-170 lbs.
-Suspect #2: White male, 5’04”-5’05” tall, 140-150 lbs.
-Suspect Vehicle: Red and silver older model Ford F-150 pickup truck with a loud exhaust
Resume: Long Neck, DE- The Delaware State Police are currently investigating the robbery and assault of a Lewes, DE man that occurred on Thursday, October 13, 2011.
Troopers were advised of the incident on Friday, October 14, after the victim, a 27 year old Lewes, DE man, responded to Troop 7 where he reported that he had been assaulted and robbed as he waited for a ride in the area of Kings Lane in the Enchanted Acres Mobile Home Park in Long Neck, DE. The victim advised troopers that at approximately 10:00 p.m. on Thursday, an older model Ford F-150 pickup truck approached him as he waited for a ride from his mother. The truck was occupied by a white male driver and a black male, who was seated in the passenger seat. The driver of the vehicle then asked the victim his name and after he replied, the two subjects exited the truck and began assaulting him. According to the victim, the suspects then removed his boots from his feet as well as jewelry he was wearing and then fled in the truck. Shortly thereafter the victim’s mother arrived and transported him to the Beebe Memorial Hospital where he was treated and released for numerous injuries.
The investigation into this incident is continuing.
