Resume: Delmar, DE- The Delaware State Police Crash Reconstruction Unit continues to investigate a serious motor vehicle crash that occurred late this afternoon in Delmar.
The crash occurred at approximately 4:20 p.m. as Andrew Reed, 19, was operating an Audi A4 and was traveling northbound on Pepperbox Road. Reed failed to stop at a stop sign and entered the intersection of Whitesville Road where it was struck by a Chevrolet Tahoe that was being operated by Johni Conquest, 61 of Delmar.
A front seat passenger in the Audi, Matthew Nativio, was removed from the scene by a Delaware State Police helicopter and flown to the Christiana Hospital where he was admitted in critical condition with multiple injuries. Andrew Reed was removed from the scene by EMS and transported to an area hospital where he was admitted in serious condition. Johni Conquest was also removed from the scene by EMS and transported to an area hospital where she was treated for minor injuries.
This crash remains under investigation at this time. Alcohol consumption by Andrew Reed is being considered a factor in this crash.
(The hospital locations for Conquest and Reed were unknown at the time of this release.)

Date and Time of Occurrence: Thursday, October 06, 2011 at 4:20 p.m.
Resume: Delmar, DE- The Delaware State Police Crash Reconstruction Unit is currently at the scene of a serious motor vehicle crash in Delmar.
The crash occurred at approximately 4:20 p.m. at the intersection of Whitesville Road and Pepperbox Road in Delmar. Initial indication is that an injured party involved in the accident has been flown by helicopter to the Christiana Hospital.
Commuters should avoid the area of the accident and find alternate means of travel.
This crash is in its initial stages of investigation. More detailed information will be released at the conclusion of the investigation.
