DSP News Release: Greenwood Man Dies in Motorcycle Crash

Location: 2400 block of Farm Lane, Camden-Wyoming, DE

Date and Time of Occurrence:  Wednesday, November 30, 2011 at 5:00 p.m.

Operator: Edward W. Loller, Jr., 52, Greenwood, DE

Vehicle: 1998 Harley Davidson FWA Motorcycle

Camden-Wyoming, DE- The Delaware State Police Crash Reconstruction Unit is currently investigating a fatal motorcycle crash that occurred this afternoon in Camden-Wyoming, DE.

The incident occurred at approximately 5:00 p.m. as Edward W. Loller, Jr., was operating a 1998 Harley Davidson motorcycle as was traveling northbound in the 2400 block of Farm Lane. Loller’s motorcycle then struck a deer which was attempting to cross Farm Lane in a westbound direction. Loller, who was not wearing a helmet, was ejected from the motorcycle. He was removed from the scene by EMS and transported to the Kent General Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

This crash remains under investigation at this time.

DSP News Release:  Troopers Investigating Fatal Motorcycle Crash

Location: 2400 block of Farm Lane, Felton, DE

Date and Time of Occurrence:  Wednesday, November 30, 2011 at approximately 5:15 p.m.

Resume:   

Felton, DE- The Delaware State Police Crash Reconstruction Unit is currently investigating a fatal motorcycle crash that occurred late this afternoon in Felton.

Initial information is that the crash, which occurred in the 2400 block of Farm Lane, involved a motorcyclist and a deer.

Farm Lane is currently closed in the area of SR 10 (Willow Grove Road) and commuters are asked to avoid the area. 

More information will be released at the conclusion of this investigation.
