TROOPERS INVESTIGATE BURGLARY, THEFT OF PUPPIES

DSP News Release: Troopers Investigate Burglary, Theft of Puppies
Location: Residence in the 34000 block of Minnow Lane, Pot Nets Bayside, Long Neck, DE
Date of Occurrence: Monday, November 28, 2011 between 8:00 p.m. and 11:30 p.m.
Victim:
· 48 year old resident
Resume: Long Neck, DE- The Delaware State Police are currently investigating the burglary of a Long Neck home in which four puppies were stolen that occurred last night.
The investigation into the incident began after troopers were called to respond to a residence located in the 34000 block of Minnow Lane, in the Pot Nets Bayside community in Long Neck, for the report of a burglary. Upon their arrival, the investigating troopers were advised by the 48 year old home owner that she had left her residence earlier in the evening and when she returned, she noticed that someone had forced open the rear door of her home. The victim advised the troopers that the suspect(s) then entered the home and proceeded to remove (4) six week old Shih Tzu puppies from inside of the house and then fled with them.
This incident remains under investigation at this time.
No photographs of the stolen puppies are available at this time.
