DSP News Release: Walgreens Pharmacy Robbery 

Location:

·         Walgreens Pharmacy, 1710 Faulkland Road (Chestnut Run Shopping Center), Wilmington, DE

Date of Occurrence:

·         Sunday, November 27, 2011 at 5:15 p.m.

Victim:

·         31 year old female employee

Suspect:

·         White male, 40-45 years of age, 5”10”-6”0” tall, 150-165 lbs, average build. Last seen wearing brown jacket, blue jeans, black baseball hat, and glasses.  Suspect covered face with white gauze bandages as a disguise.

·         No surveillance photo’s available at this time.

Wilmington-Delaware State Police Robbery Detectives are investigating the robbery of the Walgreens Pharmacy located in the Chestnut Run Shopping Center, which occurred last evening.

The incident occurred at approximately 5:15 p.m. last evening as the suspect entered the Walgreens Pharmacy located on Faulkland Road. The suspect approached the 31 year old female employee at the pharmacy counter. The suspect presented a demand note for prescription narcotics and implied that he had a gun.  The employee complied and turned over an undisclosed amount of narcotic medication. The suspect fled the store on foot with the narcotics. There were no injuries as a result of this incident.
