TROOPERS INVESTIGATE CONVENIENCE STORE ROBBERY

DSP News Release: Troopers Investigate Convenience Store Robbery
Location: Express Mart, 703 Pulaski Highway, Bear, DE
Date of Occurrence: Saturday, November 26, 2011 at 8:00 p.m.
Suspects:
-Suspect #1: White male, 5’10”-6’00” tall with a thin build. He was last seen wearing a black sweatshirt and jeans.
-Suspect #2: White male, 6’00”-6’02” tall. He was last seen wearing a black knit cap and a gray hooded sweatshirt.
Victim:
-34 year old male clerk
Resume: Bear, DE- The Delaware State Police are currently investigating the robbery of a Bear area convenience store that occurred last night.
The incident happened at approximately 8:00 p.m. on Saturday as two male suspects entered the Express Mart located in the 700 block of Pulaski Highway, Bear and confronted the 34 year old male clerk. The first suspect, described as thin white male, demanded money from the employee. However, when the clerk refused, the suspect grabbed the entire cash register from off of the sales counter. Both suspects then ran from the store and were last seen fleeing the parking lot in a gray Chevrolet Trail Blazer. No weapon was displayed and there were no injuries.
The Delaware State Police are asking anyone who may have any information in reference to this incident to contact Robbery Unit detectives at Troop 2 at 302-834-2630 ext. 6.
