TROOPERS INVESTIGATE GAS STATION ROBBERY

DSP News Release: Troopers Investigate Gas Station Robbery
Location: BP Gas Station, 702 W. Basin Road, New Castle, DE
Date of Occurrence: Friday, November 25, 2011 at 10:00 a.m.
Victim:
-32 year old male employee
Suspect:
-White male, 20-30 years of age, 5’9”-5’10” tall, 170-180 lbs, with brown hair. He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black sweatpants, and black shoes.
Resume: New Castle, DE- The Delaware State Police are investigating the robbery of a New Castle gas station that occurred late yesterday morning.
This incident happened at approximately 10:00 a.m. on Friday as a white male suspect entered the BP Gas Station located in the 700 block of W. Basin Road in New Castle. The suspect, who implied that he was armed, confronted the male clerk. He then demanded and received an undisclosed amount of cash from the register. The suspect then left the store and was last seen fleeing the parking lot in a light green or silver GMC Envoy. The clerk was not injured.
The Delaware State Police are asking anyone who may have any information in reference to this incident to contact Troop 2 Robbery Unit detectives at 302-834-2630 ext. 6.
