Resume

Dover, DE- The Delaware State Police Kent County Governor’s Task Force have arrested two men following a foot pursuit and subsequent search of a home in Dover last night.

The incident began at approximately 7:25 p.m. Monday night as members of the Governor’s Task Force were patrolling in the area of General’s Way in the General’s Greene Development in Dover, when they observed a suspicious male subject walking in the roadway. As the Task Force members attempted to make contact with the subject, he fled from them and refused to stop when ordered. The subject ran behind townhomes located in the unit block of Pine Cabin Drive where he was observed discarding what was later found to be a 38 caliber handgun. He then ran into one of the homes.

A short time later a second subject identified as Deandre Hudson, 18, who resides in the home that the first subject had run into, arrived at the residence. Hudson allowed the Task Force members to enter the home, where after searching, they found Khalil Hanzer, 18, hiding in a bedroom closet. Hanzer was taken into custody without incident. As the officers were searching for Hanzer, they observed marijuana, a digital scale, and plastic baggies used to package drugs in plain view. The Task Force members then obtained a search warrant for the residence. Upon executing the warrant officers located a total of 77 grams of marijuana and $934.00 in suspected drug proceeds, along with the scale and baggies.

Khalil Hanzer and Deandre Hudson were both arrested and charged with the above list of crimes.
