DSP News Release: Dover Man Shot After a Verbal Argument
Location: Generals Greene Apartments, 310 Billy Mitchell Lane, Dover, DE

Resume: Dover, DE- Delaware State Police Detectives have made an arrest in an early evening shooting that occurred at Generals Greene Apartments.
On Wednesday November 16th at approximately 8:00 p.m., State Troopers responded to Generals Greene Apartments for a report that a male subject had been shot in the face. Upon their arrival, Troopers were informed that a 38 year old male victim had been in a verbal altercation earlier in the evening with a group of teenagers. This in turn, led to another confrontation with Aaron Johnson, 24.
Witnesses to the account observed the victim approach Aaron Johnson and exchange words. The victim continued to taunt Johnson who then removed a handgun from his waistband and fired one shot striking the victim in the face.
Johnson initially fled the scene, but was apprehended a short time later at his residence in Cheswold. He was transported back to Troop 3 where he was arraigned on his charges and committed to James T. Vaughn Correctional Center on $55,000.00 secured bail.
The victim was transported by EMS to Kent General Hospital and admitted with non life threatening injuries.
