DSP News Release:  Two Arrested in Robbery of Willow Grove Store

Location:  Willow Grove Food Mart, 7715 Willow Grove Road, Camden, DE

Date of Occurrence:   Wednesday November 16, 2011 at 7:15 p.m.

Victims:

• 34 year old male (business owner)
• 34 year old female (business owner)

Defendants:  

• Tylor J. Brown, 18 of Dover, DE
• Joshua Bryant, 20 of Dover, DE

Charges:

• Attempted Robbery 1^st Degree
• Aggravated Menacing
• Wearing a Disguise During the Commission of a Felony
• Conspiracy 2^nd Degree

**The defendants were both charged with same offenses**

Resume:  

Willow Grove, DE- Troopers were called to the Willow Grove Food Mart after a robbery had been averted by patrons.

The arrest of Tylor Brown, 18 and Joshua Bryant, 20 occurred when Troopers responded to the Willow Grove Food Mart for a reported robbery.  Upon arriving at the crime scene, both subjects had already been detained by two witnesses entering the store.

Around 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday November 16^th, Tylor Brown and Joshua Bryant entered the store brandishing a hand gun and a rifle.  The duo pointed their guns at the male and female store owners and demanded money and cigarettes.  Unbeknown to the robbers, two customers entered the business and were able to subdue the criminals in the act and hold them until State Troopers could arrive.

Brown and Bryant were then transported back to Troop 3 in Camden and processed for the charges of Attempted Robbery 1^st Degree, Aggravated Menacing, Wearing a Disguise During the Commission of a Felony, and Conspiracy 2^nd Degree.  They were committed to James T. Vahn Correctional Center in Smyrna on $24,500.00 secured bail each.

Neither of the victims or witnesses were injured in this case.
