SUSPECT CHARGED IN STRONG ARM ROBBERY

DSP News Release: Suspect Charged in Strong Arm Robbery

Resume: Long Neck, DE- State Police Detectives have made an arrest into a home invasion robbery near Millsboro.
Treymayne R. Moorman was located at his residence in Rehoboth Shores Monday November 14th after information was obtained he was there. Troopers took Treymayne into custody and transported him to Troop 4 in Georgetown where he was arraigned and committed to Sussex Correction Institution on $102,000.00 secured bail.
This investigation started on Monday November 7, 2011 at approximately 8:00 p.m. when Troopers responded to the 30000 block of Seawaye Lane in Rehoboth Shores Mobile Home Park for a report of an attempted robbery. The 24 year old male victim and the two juveniles where in the living room when they heard a knock at the door. The adult male victim went to the door and since he knew it was Treymayne Moorman, he opened it. Once inside, Tremayne asked for another person who was living in the house to come outside.
During this time, a black male appeared from behind Tremayne brandishing a hand gun and pointing it at the male victim’s head. The suspect then demanded money from the victim at which time he took his wallet and hat off and laid them on the floor. When the suspect took his eyes off the adult male victim, a struggle ensued between the two and the victim was able to disarm the suspect. The two continued to battle outside the house where the suspect was able to free himself and flee the area. Tremayne also fled during the confrontation and had not been located until November 14th.
The handgun was secured by the Troopers on scene.
The black male suspect has not been located or identified.
No victims were injured in this incident.
