DSP News Release: Arrest Made in Robbery/Assault

 

Defendant, Charges, and Arraignment Information:

 

Blooma West, 27, Magnolia, DE

 

-Robbery 1st Degree

-Assault 1st Degree

-Possession of a Deadly Weapon during the Commission of a Felony

-Conspiracy 2nd Degree

 

Arraigned at JP Court 7 and committed to the Delores Baylor Women’s Correctional Institution for lack of $31,000.00 secured bail.

Magnolia, DE- The Delaware State Police have arrested a 27 year old Magnolia woman in connection with the November 12, 2011 robbery and assault of a 53 year old man.

 

Blooma West was arrested without incident at her residence located in the 100 block of Lambert Drive in Magnolia early this morning. West was charged with the above list of crimes and arraigned at JP Court 7. She was then committed to the Department of Corrections for lack of $31,000.00 secured bail.

 

Troopers were able to develop West as one of the three suspects who assaulted the 53 year old male victim in the parking lot of the Woodside Liquors after he revealed that he recognized her from a previous altercation they had been involved in. The victim was then able to pick West out of a photo lineup.

 

This incident is still under investigation at this time and troopers are still searching for two other female suspects who participated in the assault.

DSP News Release: Troopers Investigate Robbery/Assault

 

Location: Woodside Liquors, 1307 Peachtree Run, Magnolia, DE

 

Date of Occurrence:  Saturday, November 12, 2011 at 8:40 p.m.

 

Victim: 

 

-53 year old Magnolia, DE man

 

Suspects:  

 

-Suspect #1: Black female, 5’06” tall, 130 lbs, black hair, brown eyes

 

-Suspect #2: Black female, 5’04” tall, 140 lbs, black hair, brown eyes

 

-Suspect #3: Black female (no further description)

Magnolia, DE- The Delaware State Police are searching for three female suspects who attacked and robbed a Magnolia man yesterday evening.

 

The incident occurred at approximately 8:40 p.m. on Saturday as a 53 year old Magnolia, DE man was exiting the Woodside Liquors, located in the 1300 block of Peachtree Run, Magnolia, DE. As the victim walked to a friend’s vehicle which was parked in the lot of the store, he was approached from behind by three black female suspects. The suspects, who were armed with a brick, a trashcan, and a knife, then suddenly began attacking the victim. As they were assaulting the victim, one of the suspects removed his wallet and cellular phone from his pants pocket. The suspects then fled in a gray colored Mazda MPV after they were pulled off of the victim by witnesses. The victim then responded to his home where the 9-1-1 call center was contacted. He was then transported to the Kent General Hospital by EMS where he was treated for multiple non life threatening injuries.

 

This incident is still under investigation. The Delaware State Police are asking anyone who may have any information in reference to this incident to contact Troop 3 at 302-697-4454.
