TROOPERS INVESTIGATE ATTEMPTED ROBBERY OF A FREDERICA LIQUOR STORE


DSP News Release: Troopers Investigate Attempted Robbery of a Frederica Liquor Store 

 

Location:

·         JC Liquor Mart, 7615 Bay Road, Frederica, DE

 

Date of Occurrence:

·         Wednesday, November 9, 2011 at 7:40 p.m.

 

Victim:

·         63 year old male employee

 

Suspect/Suspect Vehicle:

·         White male, average build, last seen wearing army camouflage style hooded coat and unknown type mask covering face. (No further description and no surveillance photos available at this time)

·         Unknown type white compact vehicle

 

Resume:

Frederica-Troopers are investigating the attempted robbery of the JC Liquor Mart that occurred last night in Frederica, DE.

 

The incident occurred at approximately 7:40 p.m. as a male suspect entered the business and approached the 63 year old male clerk who was seated behind the sales counter. The suspect placed his hand inside of his coat, implied that he had a weapon and demanded money.  The 63 year old male clerk confronted the suspect and attempted to punch him.  The suspect fled the store on foot, empty handed, and was last seen fleeing southbound on Bay Road in a white compact type vehicle. There were no injuries as a result of this incident.
