DSP News Release: Troopers Investigate Hartly Home Invasion

Victim: · 78 year old female
Suspect(s): · Suspect 1: Black male, unknown age, 5’05”-5’08” tall, thin build (No further description available) Last seen wearing dark clothing with a mask covering face. Suspect was armed with an unknown type handgun · Suspect 2: Black male, unknown age, 5’05”-5’08” tall, thin build (No further description available) Last seen wearing dark clothing.
Resume: Hartly-The Delaware State Police are investigating a home invasion robbery that occurred early this morning in Hartly. The home invasion occurred at a residence in the 5000 block of Judith Road, Hartly, DE.
A 78 year old female was inside the residence when the two black male suspects forced entry through a rear door. Once inside the residence, one of the suspects displayed a handgun and demanded money. The 78 year old victim complied and turned over an undisclosed amount of cash to the suspects. Both suspects then fled on foot. The victim was not injured as a result of this incident.
