DSP News Release: Troopers Probe Convenience Store Robbery

 

Location: 7-11, 2510 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington, DE

 

Dates of Occurrence:   Thursday, May 26, 2011 at 12:45 a.m.

 

Suspects:

 

Suspect 1:  White male, 5’08” tall, 150 lbs., with a thin build. He was last seen wearing a Spider Man face mask, all black clothing, and black gloves. He was also armed with an automatic firearm.

 

Suspect 2: White male, 6’01” tall, 150 lbs., with a thin build. He was last seen dressed in all black clothing and was wearing a black face mask.

 

Victim: 20 year old male clerk

Wilmington- Delaware State Police robbery detectives are investigating the early morning robbery of a Wilmington area convenience store.

 

The incident occurred at approximately 12:45 a.m. this morning as two male suspects entered the 7-11 convenience store located in the 2500 block of Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington. One of the suspects, who was wearing a Spider Man mask covering his face, displayed a handgun to the 20 year old male clerk and demanded money from the store register as the second suspect stood by. The clerk complied and turned over an undisclosed amount of cash to the suspects. They then fled the store and were last seen fleeing on foot towards Elizabeth Avenue. The clerk was not injured.
