TROOPERS INVESTIGATE RESTAURANT ROBBERY


DSP News Release: Troopers Investigate Restaurant Robbery

 

Location: Pizza Hut, 1300 Veale Road, Wilmington, DE

 

Date of Occurrence:   Friday, May 27, 2011 at 11:10 p.m.

 

Suspect:

 

-White male, 19-35 years of age, 5’07”-6’02” tall, 120-160 lbs. He was last seen wearing black hooded sweatshirt, black pants, and had a bandana covering his face. He was also armed with a black and silver handgun.

 

Victims:

 

-42 year old male employee

-24 year old female employee

 

Resume:  

Wilmington- The Delaware State Police are currently investigating the robbery of a north Wilmington restaurant that occurred last night.

 

The incident occurred at approximately 11:10 p.m. last night as a male suspect entered the rear door of the Pizza Hut Restaurant located in the 1300 block of Veale Road, Wilmington. The suspect displayed a handgun and pointed it at a 24 female employee of the restaurant. The suspect then demanded money from the restaurant cash registers as well as from the safe. The female employee complied with the suspect’s demands and turned over an undisclosed amount of cash to the suspect. A second male employee, who was also in the restaurant as the suspect entered, was able to flee to a nearby business where he then called 9-1-1. After receiving the cash, the suspect fled on foot through the front door of the restaurant. The victims were not injured.
