Resume:

Greenwood-State Police Monday evening charged Terrance L. McCray of Greenwood with Strangulation, Assault and Child Endangerment offenses after investigating a domestic altercation.

State Police just after 8 pm responded to a residence on the 14000 block of Oak Road Greenwood Delaware.  A State Police investigation revealed that the victim had gone out earlier with friends and when she returned home her boyfriend Terrance L. McCray assaulted her.  McCray was allegedly upset over the amount of time the victim spent out with her friends.

McCray during the physical domestic allegedly placed his hand around the victim’s neck and squeezed, which obstructed the victim’s airway.  The victim suffered minor marks around her neck; however she did not require medical treatment.  McCray additionally pushed the victim against a wall.  Four children were present at the residence at the time of the domestic disturbance, but were not harmed.  (I currently do not have information on whether all of the children belonged to the victim or McCray.)

State Police apprehended McCray at a nearby residence without incident.  McCray was arraigned and remanded to Sussex Correctional Institute on $4,350 secured bond.
