DSP News Release:  Troopers Probe Personal Injury Accident

Location: DE Rt. 2 (Kirkwood Highway) east of DE Rt. 7 (Limestone Road), Wilmington, DE

Date of Occurrence:  Thursday, May 19, 2011 at approximately 9:20 p.m.

Resume: 

The Delaware State Police are currently investigating a personal injury accident in which a pedestrian was struck that occurred on Kirkwood Highway directly in front of the Kirkwood Plaza Shopping Center in Wilmington. Initial information is that a male subject has been struck as he attempted to cross the eastbound lanes of the highway. The subject has been transported to the Christiana Hospital where he is currently being treated for his injuries.

Further information on this crash will be released upon the completion of this investigation.
