DETECTIVES INVESTIGATE SUSPICIOUS DEATH


DSP News Release: Detectives Investigate Suspicious Death

 

Location: Fairview Inn, 1051 S. Market Street, Wilmington, DE

 

Dates of Occurrence:  Wednesday, May 18, 2011 at 7:00 a.m.

 

Suspect:  None at this time.

 

Victim:  47 year old Wilmington, DE man

Wilmington- Delaware State Police homicide detectives are currently investigating a suspicious death that occurred early this morning at a motel just south of the Wilmington city limits.

 

Troopers were called to the Fairview Inn located in the 1000 block of S. Market Street, for the report of a man lying in the parking lot. Upon their arrival they found a male subject, later identified as a 47 year old Wilmington man, lying in the parking suffering from wounds to his chest. The victim was transported by EMS to the Christiana Hospital where he was pronounced dead. His body was then turned over to the medical examiners office where an autopsy will be performed to determine the exact cause of death.

 

Delaware State Police detectives are continuing their investigation.
