Wilmington- The Delaware State Police investigated a two vehicle crash in which two people were injured that occurred this morning in Wilmington.

The crash occurred at approximately 9:40 a.m. as Jamil Waterman was operating a 2009 Hyundai Sonata and was traveling northbound on US Rt. 202 in the left hand lane. As Waterman entered the intersection of Florence Avenue, his vehicle’s front end struck the front of a 2009 Chevrolet Equinox which had turned in front of him from the left hand turn lane of Rt. 202 southbound, and which was being operated by Ruth Brooking. The force of the collision caused Waterman’s vehicle to leave the roadway and drive onto the sidewalk where it then struck a cross walk signal pole.
