DSP News Release: State Police Probe Hartly Home Invasion

Victim(s):

  • 61 year old Hartly Delaware man

 

Suspect(s):

  • 1st black male, 20-30 years of age, 6’01”-6’02”, 150-165 lbs, dark complexion, wearing a black hat, coat, pants
  • 2nd black male, age unk, 5’09”-5’10”, 230-240 lbs, dark complexion, wearing black coat and mask, No further description

 

 Resume:

Hartly-Delaware State Police are investigating a home invasion which occurred at a residence in the 1500 block of Halltown Road W/O Dover, late Monday evening around 10:47 pm. 

 

After contacting the State Police the 61 year old victim advised he was inside his residence when he heard a knock at his front door.  The victim answered the door and observed two black male suspects standing in the doorway. 

 

One of the suspects displayed a handgun and held it against the victim’s neck, forcing him back into his residence.  Once inside the residence, the suspects demanded money and the victim’s cellular phone.  After taking these items the suspects fled to an unknown destination.

 

The first suspect is described as a black male, 20-30 years of age, 6’01”-6’02”, 150-165 lbs, dark complexion, wearing a black hat, coat, pants.  The second suspect is also a black male, age unknown, 5’09”-5’10”, 230-240 lbs, dark complexion, wearing black coat and mask, No further description.

 

The victim was not physically harmed during the robbery.
