DSP News Release:  6 Suffer Minor Injuries in Bus Crash

Hartly-Delaware State Police Monday evening investigated a crash involving a school bus and passenger van.  The crash occurred just after 6 p.m. at the intersection of Pearson’s Corner and W. Denney’s Roads W/O Dover. 

The crash investigation revealed that a 2003 Chrysler Town & Country van driven by Naomi Kobzeff of Keizer Oregon was stopped on W. Denney’s Road westbound at the intersecting with Pearson’s Corner Road. 

The second vehicle a 2007 International Yellow bus driven by Linda Donovan was northbound on Pearson’s Corner approaching the intersection.  Kobzeff after her initial stop at the stop sign continued into the intersection and into the path of the school bus; which had the right of way. 

A total of 5 students were transported to area hospitals for minor injuries, treated and released.  Emergency medical services transported 3 students to Kent General Hospital along with Kobzeff, while 2 students were transported to Milford Memorial Hospital. 

State Police cited Kobzeff with Failure to Remain Stopped and Failure to have Insurance Identification.
