DSP News Release: Detectives Probe Robbery of New Castle Gas Station
Location: Exxon, 400 Pulaski Highway, New Castle, DE
Date of Occurrence: Wednesday, March 30, 2011 at 7:30 p.m.
Victim: 18 year old male employee
Suspects:
Suspect #1: Black male, 6’03” tall, 190-210 lbs. He was last seen wearing a light brown camouflage vest, a gray hooded sweatshirt with a black hooded sweatshirt underneath, dark jeans, and a bandana covering his face. He was also armed with a handgun.
Suspect #2: Black male, 6’00” tall with an average build. He was last seen wearing a black vest, black pants, a black hooded sweatshirt, black gloves, and a gray bandana covering his face. He was also armed with a handgun.
Resume: New Castle- The Delaware State Police are currently investigating the robbery of a New Castle area gas station that occurred yesterday evening.
The incident occurred as two male suspects entered the Exxon gas station located in the 400 block of Pulaski Highway, New Castle, at approximately 7:30 p.m. One of the suspects approached the 18 year old employee, displayed a handgun, and demanded money from the cash register. The victim advised that suspect that he did not have any money at which time he was escorted to a back room and ordered into a walk in cooler. As this was occurring, the second suspect opened a register and removed an undisclosed amount of money from it. The suspects then fled the store. The victim was not injured.
