TROOPERS PROBE ROBBERY OF BEAR RESTAURANT


DSP News Release: Troopers Probe Robbery of Bear Restaurant

 

Location:  Subway Restaurant, 1639 Pulaski Highway, Bear, DE

 

Date of Occurrence:  Tuesday, March 29, 2011 at 8:50 p.m.

 

Victim:  18 year old Newark, DE woman

 

Suspect:  Unknown race male suspect, 5’06”-5’09” tall, with a light brown complexion. He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, dark colored jeans, dark sunglasses and a dark bandana over his face. He was also armed with a knife.

 

Resume:  

Bear- The Delaware State Police are investigating the robbery of a Bear area restaurant that occurred yesterday evening.

 

The incident occurred as a male suspect entered the Subway Restaurant located in the 1600 block of Pulaski Highway in Bear and approached the sales counter. The suspect then confronted an 18 year female employee and demanded cash from the register. The victim complied with the suspect’s demands and turned over an undisclosed amount of money to the suspect who then fled the restaurant. He was last seen walking in an eastbound direction. The victim was not injured.
