Resume: Millville-Delaware State Police Tuesday March 29th charged Charles A. Zingo-48 of Millville for the burglary of the Banks Wine and Spirits liquor store located in Millville Delaware. The burglary is believed to have occurred between Monday evening (9:00 p.m.) and early Tuesday morning (1:11 a.m.)
State Police investigated the burglary early Tuesday morning and discovered that a white male approached a window to the business after hours. Surveillance footage of the suspect later determined to be Zingo, showed him smashing a large window to the business with a rock. Zingo then reached through the window and removed an undisclosed number of liquor bottles.
Later Tuesday afternoon Ocean View Police Department responded to a male reported to be unconscious on Atlantic Avenue SR 26 next to the Verizon building. When Ocean View Police arrived and contacted Zingo he began to resist.
Zingo was taken into custody and eventually linked to the Banks Wine and Spirits Burglary. After viewing video surveillance of the burglary, Zingo was found to be wearing the same attire as he had on during the burglary. Police also located a black duffle bag with Zingo which contained bottles of alcohol stolen during the burglary.
Zingo was charged with burglary, theft and criminal mischief then remanded to Sussex Correctional Institute in lieu of $6,300.00 cash bond. Ocean View Police additionally charged Zingo with resisting arrest. Charles A. Zingo |
