Resume: Bridgeville-State Police Tuesday charged Pamela R. Kernodle-47 of Bridgeville with stabbing her 48 year old boyfriend. The stabbing occurred just after midnight Tuesday morning March 29th in the 7300 block of Cannon Road Bridgeville Delaware.
When State Police and medical personnel arrived they discovered that the victim had been stabbed several times. The victim suffered punctures to his shoulder, hand and arm. State Police apprehended Pamela Kernodle at the scene sitting inside the residence where the stabbing occurred.
Delaware State Police discovered that Kernodle initially hit the victim as he slept in his bed. The victim next relocated to the living room to avoid any additional confrontation. Kernodle next is alleged to have held a knife to the victim’s throat threatening physical harm. The altercation appeared to be been over a personal issue of Kernodle’s.
The victim was able to take the knife away from Kernodle; however Kernodle then retrieved a kitchen knife and began to attack the victim once more. The victim sustained the previously mentioned injures which required stitches and staples when treated at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital. The injuries do not appear to be life threatening.
Kernodle was later charged with assault, aggravated menacing, offensive touching and possession of a deadly weapon. Kernodle was arraigned and remanded to the Women’s Correctional Institute on $38,250 cash bail.
