TWO NEWARK RESIDENTS ARRESTED AFTER GRAFFITI INCIDENT

DSP News Release: Two Newark Residents Arrested after Graffiti Incident
Location: Train Trestle over I-95 south of Bellevue Road, Newark, DE
Date of Occurrence: Monday, March 21, 2011 at 4:50 p.m.
Defendants:
Defendant #1: Brandon C. Taylor, 18, Newark, DE Defendant #2: 17 year old Newark, DE male juvenile
Charges:
-Graffiti -Possession of Graffiti Tools -Conspiracy 3rd Degree -Resisting Arrest
Resume: Newark- Delaware State Police have arrested two Newark residents after they were observed spray painting a railroad overpass in Newark on Monday.
The incident occurred at approximately 4:50 p.m. on March 21, as two male subjects were observed by a passing motorist spray painting the railroad trestle that crosses I-95 south of Bellevue Road in Newark, DE. The motorist contacted police who then responded to the scene. As Troopers confronted the pair, they fled on foot along the railroad tracks, discarding a backpack containing several cans of spray paint. After a brief foot chase, the two subjects were apprehended by the troopers.
Brandon Taylor was arrested and charged with the above list of crimes. He was arraigned at JP Court #2 and released on $4000.00 unsecured bail. The 17 year old juvenile was also arrested and charged with the above list of crimes. He was then released to his parents pending his appearance at Family Court.
