DSP News Release: Dover Man Faces Burglary Charges

Felton-Monday March 21, 2011 Delaware State Police arrested Deon D. Harmon of Dover after responding to a burglary in progress complaint. 

 

State Police around 10:53 p.m. were called to a residence on the 400 block of E. Evens Road Felton Delaware.  When State Troopers arrived they took Harmon into custody as he was exiting the victim’s residence. 

 

Harmon prior to the burglary backed his white Subaru car into the victim’s driveway.  Harmon, thinking the property was abandoned decided to unlawfully enter the victim’s residence.  The victim however was at home during the burglary and fled his house to dial 911. 

 

Harmon was not able to steal anything prior to police arriving and placing him under arrest.  Upon searching Harmon’s car State Troopers recovered a small pipe commonly used to ingest marijuana. 

 

Harmon was arraigned on Burglary, Attempted Theft, Possession on Burglar Tools and Drug Paraphernalia then remanded to James T. Vaughn Correctional Center on $4,250.00 secured bond.
