DSP News Release: Road Closure Due to Police Activity

Dover-Delaware State Police and the Delaware Department of Transportation (DELDOT) are shutting down portions of SR 1 due to Police activity. 

The following roads closures are in effect until further notice:

• Route 1 northbound is being diverted onto Route 9 located south of Dover Air Force Base.
• Route 1 southbound traffic is being diverted onto the Puncheon Run Connector toward US 13
• Route 1 southbound traffic is being diverted onto Bay Road at exit 95 and sent toward SR 10 East Lebanon Road. 

As previously advised the road closure is due to police activity.  Additional details concerning this activity will be disseminated at a later time.
