UPDATE APPREHENSION MADE IN 2 RECENT KENT COUNTY ROBBERIES

Resume Update: Felton-Delaware State Police and the Camden Police Department on Wednesday March 16, 2011 conducted a joint Robbery investigation into recent robberies occurring at Camden and Felton Delaware area businesses.
Wednesday afternoon, Delaware State Police/Camden Police Officers executed a joint search warrant in the 100 block of Canterbury Court in the Canterbury Trails development Felton Delaware. Upon searching the Canterbury Court residence an undisclosed amount of evidence was located, linking Green and Winters to recent Kent County robberies.
The search warrant execution stemmed from investigative information obtained by the Camden Police department. As a result of the sharing of investigative details concerning each jurisdictions robberies two suspects were developed as perpetrators in recent Kent County robberies.
Delaware State Police late Wednesday evening charged Cary T. Green of Magnolia and Chris P. Winters of Felton for their involvement in the March 13th robbery of the Shore Stop Valero in Felton. Green and Winters also were charged with the March 14th robbery of the First National Bank of Wyoming located on Irish Hill Road Felton Delaware.
Delaware State Police charged Green and Winters each with 8 charges consisting of Robbery, Conspiracy and Wearing a disguise during the commission of a felony. Green and Winter are currently being held in James T. Vaughn Correctional Center in lieu of $165,000 and $42,000 secured bond respectively.

DSP News Release: State Police Probe Felton Convenience Store Robbery

Resume: Felton-Delaware State Police are seeking information into a robbery which occurred at the Shore Stop Valero located S/O Felton Delaware.
Sunday March 13, 2011 State Police responded to the Felton convenience store located at the intersection of S. DuPont Highway and Reeves Crossing Road S/O the Felton town limits. The investigation revealed that a white male wearing a mask entered the business and demanded money. The suspect displayed a knife during the robbery, however no injuries were reported.
The 49 year old clerk handed over an undisclosed amount of cash and two boxes of cigarettes before fleeing the scene. (1 box of Marlboro and 1 box of Newport)

DSP News Release: State Police Probe Felton Bank Robbery

Resume: Felton-Delaware State Police are investigating a robbery of the First National Bank of Wyoming, 105 Irish Hill Road Felton Delaware. The robbery occurred Monday March 14, 2011 around 2:45 p.m.
State Police units responded to the Bank after receiving an alarm activation through the 911 center. State Police detectives learned that a white male suspect approximately 5’09”-5’11”, 175-200 lbs wearing a dark hooded top, dark pants and sunglasses entered the bank just before 3 p.m.
The suspect approached two female clerks and demand money. The suspect implied he had a weapon however none was displayed. The suspect after obtaining an undisclosed amount of money fled southbound from the bank toward Flying Dutchman Mobile Home Park.
A search of the area by State Police, Camden and Felton Police departments yielded negative results in locating the suspect.
