Dover-State Police Tuesday March 15^th concluded a four month long investigation surrounding cocaine/marijuana distribution in the Autumn Run Apartment Complex and Rodney Village areas of Dover Delaware. 

Karl D. Hazzard, his wife Jolanda D. Hazzard and a 17 year old Magnolia man all are facing charges related to either illegal drug distribution or solicitation of a controlled substance.  State Police while conducting surveillance around Autumn Run Apartment Complex observed Karl Hazzard distribute marijuana to a 17 year old Magnolia teen. 

State Police contacted the teenager and seized .7 grams of marijuana stored in a plastic baggy.  Shortly thereafter Delaware State Police Kent County Drug Unit and the Special Operations Response Team executed a search at the residence of Karl and Jolanda Hazzard of Dover. 

During the search of the Hazzard’s apartment; located in the Autumn Run Complex, State Police seized 470.7 grams or just over 1 pound of Marijuana, 5 grams of crack cocaine, a digital scale and $1,925 United States Currency. 

Karl Hazzard was arrested for Possession with intent to deliver cocaine/ marijuana and 8 other crimes related to the distribution of controlled substances.  Hazzard was arraigned and remanded to the James T. Vaughn Correctional Center in lieu of $19,500 cash bond.  

The 17 year old teen was given a criminal summons and released to the custody of his parents.  

State Police are seeking the public’s assistance in locating Jolanda Hazzard of Dover.  Jolanda is wanted for Maintaining a Dwelling for Keeping Controlled Substances, Conspiracy Second Degree, 2 counts of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Endangering the Welfare of a Child.
