  • John R. Haas-20 Millsboro, DE
  • Both charged with below:
  • Theft $1,500 or Greater
  • Conspiracy Second Degree
  • Theft by False Pretense
  • 2 counts Criminal Trespass Third Degree
  • Holston and Haas each were each released on $4,500 unsecured bond

 

Resume:

Millsboro-State Police Monday March 14th charged Justin C. Holston and John R. Haas with selling sewer grates stolen from two Sussex County communities. 

 

Monday morning State Police were notified by an independent witness; who observed the transaction, that Holston and Haas had just sold 6 sewer grates at Donovan’s Salvage Georgetown Delaware.  The alert witness obtained the registration off the pickup truck Holston and Hass were occupying and provided the information to Troopers.  Investigators learned that the sewer grates were stolen from the Stonewater Creek and Pot Nets Bayside communities Millsboro Delaware. 

 

The steel sewer grates cost approximately $300.00 dollars each; however Holston and Haas only received $220.00 for all 6 grates. 

 

Holston and Haas were charged with a felony theft charge and then each released on $4,500 unsecured bond.
