DSP News Release: Detectives Probe Two Robberies Committed by Same Suspect

Victim:
Suspect: White male, 25-30 years of age, 5’08”-5’11” tall, 175 pounds. He was last seen wearing a tan jacket, black t-shirt with red writing on it, and a black baseball cap.
Resume: The Delaware State Police are currently investigating two robberies that occurred last night that were committed by the same suspect.
The first incident occurred at approximately 6:15 p.m. as a male suspect entered the Shore Stop located in the 4000 block of DuPont Parkway in Townsend, DE. The suspect approached the 20 year old store clerk and implied that he was armed. He then demanded and received an undisclosed amount of cash from the store register. The suspect then fled the store and was last seen entering a black Jeep Grand Cherokee and exiting the parking lot. The victim was not injured.
The second incident occurred at approximately 10:40 p.m. last night as the same suspect entered the Wawa located in the 5600 block of DuPont Parkway in Smyrna. The suspect confronted the 51 year old male clerk and again implied that he was armed. He then demanded and received cash from the store register before fleeing the store. The clerk was not injured. The suspect was described by the clerk as being the same suspect who had robbed the store on the previous evening.
