DETECTIVES PROBE CONVENIENCE STORE ROBBERY

DSP News Release: Detectives Probe Convenience Store Robbery
Location: Wawa, 5632 S. DuPont Highway, Smyrna, DE
Date of Occurrence: Wednesday, March 9, 2011 at 10:00 p.m.
Victim: 51 year old Dover, DE man (employee)
Suspect:
White male, 25-30 years of age, 5’08”-5’11” tall, and 175 lbs, thin build, curly hair, and a full brown beard.
Resume: Smyrna- The Delaware State Police are currently investigating the robbery of the Wawa store located on S. DuPont Highway in Smyrna that occurred last night.
The incident occurred at approximately 10:00 p.m. as a male suspect entered the store located in the 5000 block of S. DuPont Highway and confronted the male clerk. The suspect then demanded money from the clerk who complied and turned over an undisclosed amount of money. The suspect then fled the store and was last seen fleeing in a dark colored unknown make or model sport utility vehicle. The clerk was not injured.
