DSP News Release:  Millsboro Woman Wanted on Theft Charges

• 33 counts of Theft Under $1,500 and Victim is 62 yrs or Older
• Conspiracy Second Degree

Millsboro-Delaware State Police are currently searching for Marie H. Garris-47 of Millsboro Delaware.  Garris is wanted for cashing checks amounting to over $6,700 dollars drawn from a 68 year old Millsboro woman’s bank account between December 2009 and September 2010.   

State Police on March 1, 2011 also charged Jean A. Jarman-44 (woman) and Ricky P. Revel-49 both of Millsboro with theft and conspiracy charges for cashing checks drawn from the victim’s bank account.  State Police learned that in spring of 2009 Jarman moved into victim’s residence to assist with daily activities and responsibilities.  One of Jarman’s responsibilities entailed paying for household bills.    Jarman however began writing checks to her boyfriend Ricky Revel and his cousin Marie Garris.  Garris, Jarman and Revel cashed checks written from the victim’s account which totaled $29,535 dollars.      

Delaware State Police Fraud unit is asking anyone who knows the location of Marie H. Garris to please contact police at 302-856-5850 ext. 257.
