DSP News Release: Detectives Probe Robbery of Pike Creek Bank
Location: WSFS Bank, 4730 Limestone Road, Wilmington, DE
Date of Occurrence: Saturday, March 05, 2011 at 9:50 a.m.
Victim:
-26 year old Newark, DE man -26 year old Hockessin, DE man
Suspect:
White male, 23-28 years of age, 6’00” tall, 165-175 lbs. with a thin to average build. He was last seen wearing a beige or tan jacket, dark gloves, dark pants, and black framed sunglasses. He was also carrying a dark colored bag and a large black handgun. The suspect was also described as having an Eastern European or Russian accent.
Resume: Pike Creek- Delaware State Police robbery detectives are currently investigating the robbery of the WSFS Bank branch located in the Pike Creek Shopping Center in Wilmington this morning.
The incident occurred as a male suspect entered the bank branch located in the 4000 block of Limestone Road at approximately 9:50 a.m. The suspect approached two bank tellers and displayed a large black handgun. He then demanded and received an undisclosed amount of cash from the tellers and fled from the bank. The suspect was last seen entering a silver vehicle, possibly a Chevrolet, and fleeing from the parking lot in an unknown direction. The bank tellers were not injured.
