Resume:
Dover-The
Delaware State Police and The American
Legion will be holding Graduation exercises
tonight at the Delaware State Police
Training Academy in Dover Delaware.
At 6 pm tonight 28 young men and women from
across the State, who have endured a
weeklong training regiment which parallels
much of what a Delaware State Trooper would
undergo while attending the State Police
Training Academy, will be awarded their
graduation certificates.
In addition to the rigors of the daily
physical fitness schedule, the cadets
attended classes that ranged from crash
investigation to evidence detection and
fraud investigation. During the entire week
the cadets took up residence at the academy
to give them a better understanding about
the profession of law enforcement and what
it takes to become a police officer.
This is the 40th year for Trooper
Youth Week and without the sponsorship of
the American Legion the program could not be
possible.
