Wilmington-The Delaware State Police are investigating the robbery of a Pizza Hut Restaurant that occurred late yesterday afternoon.

The incident occurred at approximately 5:00 p.m. as a male suspect entered the restaurant and placed an order for food and stated that he would return to pick it up.  The suspect exited the restaurant and then returned at approximately 5:36 p.m. when he handed the 24 year old female employee a demand note for cash.  The note implied that the suspect was armed; however a weapon was not displayed.  The female employee complied with the suspect’s demands and turned over an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency.  The suspect then fled on foot eastbound on Veale Road.
