DSP News Release:  Troopers Investigate New Castle Avenue Robbery

·         Rite Aid Pharmacy, 2034 New Castle Avenue, New Castle, DE

Date of Occurrence:

·         Saturday, June 18, 2011 at 10:20 p.m.

Victim:

·         27 year old female, Wilmington, DE

Suspect:

·         White male, 5’06”-5’07” tall, unknown age, thin build (No further description).  He was last seen wearing all dark clothing, dark colored ski mask, and was armed with a knife.

Resume: 

New Castle- The Delaware State Police are investigating the robbery of a woman as she was leaving a local pharmacy Saturday evening.

The incident occurred Saturday, June 18, 2011 at approximately 10:20 p.m. as the 27 year old female was exiting the Rite Aid Pharmacy located at 2034 New Castle Avenue in New Castle.  As the victim walked to her vehicle, she was approached by a male suspect who displayed a knife and demanded the bag of prescription medication that she had just received from the pharmacy.  The victim complied and handed the bag to the suspect.  The suspect then fled on foot and was last seen running northbound through the parking lot.  The victim was uninjured.
