Resume: Camden-Delaware State Police have 3 in custody and an active warrant for a fourth still at large, following a robbery/assault early Saturday morning. State Police are also seeking information on a fifth person believed to have been involved in the incident. The robbery occurred Saturday June 11th around 2:30 am on the unit block of Lingo Drive Camden Delaware.
The robbery occurred when a 50 year old Dover man visited a residence on Lingo Drive. While at this residence the victim engaged in an argument with fugitive Martine M. Yelverton. Also at the residence at the time of the robbery were Damone C. Wilson-26 of Dover, Tyrell D. Clark-20 of Milford, Dion Williams-19 of Dover and a fifth individual only known as Jeremiah. The victim was familiar with everyone named in this case.
While engaged in the argument the victim was initially struck in the face by Clark. The victim fell to the ground at which time Yelverton and Wilson began to kick and punch him about his body. Jeremiah an unknown black male began to rummage through the victim’s shorts as he lay on the ground, and removed an undisclosed amount of United States Currency.
Eventually the victim was able to flee and was assisted by a motorist to his residence where he called 911. The victim was treated at Kent General Hospital for facial and rib fractures along with several lacerations.
After an interview with the victim Troopers responded to Lingo Drive where the robbery occurred. While at the Lingo Drive residence, Troopers contacted Clark, Wilson and Williams who were still at the location of the robbery.
Clark and Wilson eventually were arrested for robbery, assault and conspiracy. Dion Williams initially provided Troopers a fictitious name and was charged with criminal impersonation. Williams was also linked to a nickel plated revolver and small quantity of marijuana located at the scene. Williams’ additional charges consisted of possession of a deadly weapon by a person prohibited and possession of marijuana. Williams was not implicated in the robbery/assault.
