DSP News Release: Detectives Seek Public’s Help in Identifying Burglary Suspects

Location: Exxon Station, 4830 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington, DE

Dates of Occurrences:  Sunday, June 12, 2011 at 10:45 p.m. and Monday, June 13, 2011 at 3:10 a.m.

Suspects:

Suspect #1: Black male with a thin build wearing black sandals and carrying a black Adidas back pack.

Suspect #2: White male with a thin build wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt with a design on front, and black gloves with a design on them.

Wilmington- Delaware State Police burglary detectives are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying two suspects who broke into a Wilmington area gas station.

The incident occurred at approximately 10:45 p.m. on Sunday, June 12, as two male suspects used a rock to break the glass on the front doors of the Exxon Gas Station located in the 4800 block of Kirkwood Highway. The suspects then entered the gas station and proceeded to remove various products that were on display for sale. The suspects then fled in an unknown direction.

At approximately 3:10 a.m. on Monday, June 13, 2011 the black male suspect described above returned to the store and again entered through the broken door. He then proceeded to remove multiple cartons of cigarettes from display and again fled from the business in an unknown direction.

Detectives are asking anyone who may have any information in reference to this incident or who may know the identity of these suspects to contact the burglary unit at Troop 2 at 302-834-2630 ext. 211.
